We the undersigned, residents of Ascension Parish, ask the Ascension Parish Council to vote "No" and not approve the construction of Antebellum Pointe (a new subdivision off of Highway 73).
The traffic is already horrendous on Hwy 73 getting to I-10 and with the building of the new school and hospital that traffic will already be adding to the congestion. Additionally, building the new neighborhood would contribute to sewage and drainage issues which are already prevalent in the area.

Not against the neighborhood once infrastructure improvement projects have been completed. This should not be approved based on promises. Nor should the traffic study stand with time averaging in all 4 directions at lights on hwy 73. Southbound in the AM peak traffic needs to be evaluated as a stand alone item.

My house backs up to the property where the subdivision will be built. Since the land owners are not taking care of the property now, my yard is flooding due to the water from the proposed property. Nothing good will come of approving this subdivision except certain people's wallets getting fatter!

Traffic is already horrible, and the new school and hospital haven’t even opened yet. I live in a new subdivision, and the streets flood, plus it’s next to impossible to leave our neighborhood and get onto 73 when we have our pre-Covid work and school traffic.

As a teacher, we have no room for additional students in our classes. As a homeowner, the drainage needs to be fixed. People are losing their homes due to irresponsible planning.

I am a long time local Realtor who agrees that no new major development be approved before all access infrastructure is enhanced to accommodate the influx of traffic. Growth is great and necessary but infrastructure must be the top priority
