Final supporters
1. A large proportion of Secondary School Children in Thatcham already have to travel to Newbury for their education. This development close to Kennet School, will push even more of Thatcham's Children out of the Kennet Catchment Area. There are no spare Secondary School Places !
2. If you use either of Thatcham's Doctors Surgeries you will know how difficult it is to get an appointment already without the addition of 500 extra houses ! Building a 'Community Building' does not guarantee a new Surgery.
3. The plans are deceptive - there is no data on the number of properties in one block, giving the illusion it is spacious.
4. There is no parking at Thatcham Railway Station for additional commuters.
5. Environmental concerns - flooding, use of green space when brownfield is available.

The area can not support the influx, the provisions are insufficient, the proposed plans are vague enough to allow deviation just like they did in Dunstan park and Kennet Heath.
Where are the children living in these houses going to go to school? Francis Baily is hard enough to get into as it is and Kennet certainly can't take on that many additional students without the catchment being significantly reduced. Thatcham cannot physically take anymore people! Especially on this scale?!
I already have to wait about 4 weeks to have an appointment with my Doctor this area can not cope with any more people it is over crowded already. Thatcham infrastructure simply would not cope
Schools and Doctors at capacity. If we have another wet winter I am seriously worried about the holding ponds overflowing onto A4 and we all remember 2007. Why is this called Seige Cross I know its on Seige Cross Farm but the estate on the opposite side of the A4 is Seige Cross estate and has been since it was built in the 80's.
On addition to the points raised in the petition, Thatcham does not have the infrastructure to cope with an additional 500 homes. Access to the A4 is limited and the additional weight of traffic will cause considerable problems at rush hour.
I do not want it spoiling anymore enviroment
Thatcham is to crowded as it is, with added houses the traffic will be a nightmare, especially the train level crossing!

Will spoil the local environment, the rural identity of this area and destroy the wildlife. Why not fix and repair the VAST amount of disused housing in Berkshire instead of destroying what little green land we have left? GREED and nothing more.
