Thomas Cook have announced plans to close its operations in Ireland. Staff will lose their jobs. Families will suffer. This is despite the fact that Thomas Cook Ireland is still operating at a profit. Thomas Cook announced record profits just six months ago and predict profits this year of over 4 million Euro! Manny Fontenla-Novoa, CEO of Thomas Cook, recently received a 34% pay rise and a 7 million Euro bonus. This was his reward for boosting profits by making over 2,000 low paid workers redundant across the UK. Now he wants to do the same to his loyal Irish staff. We don't believe that staff in Ireland should suffer to line the pockets of millionaires in the UK. Sign our petition and tell Manny to return some of the loyalty to those who have helped make him so rich. Support Thomas Cook jobs in Ireland! KEEP THE SHOPS OPEN!

Seeing one thousand signatures on this page proves that people recognize how unfair these cuts are to the families I work with. My colleagues deserve better than being discarded while the company stays profitable. Thank you for standing behind us during this incredibly stressful time.

Seeing one hundred people stand with our staff is overwhelming because I know exactly how hard these families work to keep our shops running. My heart is full knowing we are fighting this greed together.

THOMAS COOK NEEDS TO THINK ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES. Terrible news for everyone involved hope they reconsider.

Disgraceful. The man is already rich enough. Why ruin peoples lives just to add a few more euro to his bank account?

Absolute greed. Profit is profit so why close down profitable branches? This makes zero sense.

Company is profitable but they close it anyway. Just shows they dont care about the staff at all.

How can he sleep at night? Taking a huge bonus while firing hard working staff. Shameful.
