We are working for Ireland’s oldest Sports retailer, which is in existence since 1847. We are very proud to work for a fully Irish-owned company with such a great heritage. We appeal wholeheartedly to the Examiner, Mr. Coyle, who has our jobs and our livelihood in his hands, to make the correct decision and ensure that all 700 of our jobs are safe for the months and years ahead. We trust the current Management Team and believe them when they say they are committed to maintaining jobs and our desire is to continue working under the direction of these people.
We encourage you to support our campaign to Save Our Jobs.

One hundred people have signed on to fight for these jobs. The weight of this situation is exhausting but seeing your names helps me keep going.

The weight of these last few weeks is showing but I am still here at my desk fighting for the future of our colleagues. We are hovering just under a hundred signatures and we need to push past this point to get the attention this situation demands. Take a moment to send this link to someone who can help us keep those doors open.

Having had the pleasure of previously being a contractor for Elverys Sports for over 4 years and having met lots of fantastic staff over that time I hope the right decision is made and management buyout is selected.Save the jobs! Good Luck

I think this truly irish company should stay in irish hands and be bought by an Irish business man if mike Ashley gets his hands on it it will be turned into a junk shop and all employees will be put on zero hour contacts which means they'll have no entitlement to holiday pay

Its not just an Irish Sports brand, its one that originates in the west of Ireland. Elverys is an example of regional economic development and would therefore have more of a negative impact in the west of Ireland than it would in the greater Dublin area.

It's vital that we retain these 700 jobs spread across the small Towns of Ireland. Elverys is a brand we all know and identify with. It has traded successfully since 1847 and can continue to do so because of it's great staff and loyal customer base. Good luck with your campaign.

The best Irish sports retail franchise by quite a distance who have always supported local soccer, GAA and rugby clubs in particular. Losing Elverys would be a crushing blow to Irish sports enthusiasts, do the right thing Mr Coyle.

It's time we stood up for ourselves in this country! We'll done for organising the petition... To whoever makes the final decision, remember... It's a lot easier to keep 700 jobs than to create 700 jobs!!
