PAT is our primary form of public transportation in the city of Petersburg and surrounding areas. If our bus routes are cut, hundreds of our neighbors will no longer have transportation to work and school. Let's do all we can to prevent this from happening.

Public Hearing on Proposed Bus Route Changes – June 18
A public hearing will be held by Petersburg City Council on June 18 at Union Station, beginning at 7:30pm, for the purpose of Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) making the following Route changes: Discontinue Routes
Southpark Mall
VSU/Ettrick/Pocahontas Discontinue Portions of Routes
Central State Hospital and Southside Virginia Training Center (Washington St. Route)
Fort Lee (Blandford/Hopewell Route) Reduce Service of Routes
Mall Plaza
Virginia Ave. Combine Service of Routes
Washington St. and Lee Ave will be merged on Saturdays only
At the public hearing, citizens, agencies, and businesses can speak about concerns related to the bus route changes. For additional information about the proposed Route changes, contact Gha-is Bashir Paige, Transit General Manager at (804) 733-2461.
