Pitbulls are a breed of dog, known to be muscular with a thick neck and a rumored 'lock jaw'. They are also known for being past fighter dogs. Currently, there are bans in 28 states out of 50, coming out as over half of our country. pitbulls are misinterpreted, forced to wear muzzles or are forcefully taken from their owners because of their breed. Not because of their actions or misbehaviors. Sometimes just based on physical profile alone, this one specific breed is taken away from families and owners. Please. They deserve to live like the other breeds. I do not ask for anything other than agreement that they should, and will live a life like the other breeds.

The stories coming into my inbox about families losing their dogs based solely on physical traits are heartbreaking. Send a direct email to your local city council members today to demand an end to these breed-specific policies. We need to keep the pressure on our officials until these discriminatory laws are repealed.

My grandparents have had pit bulls since before I was born. They have never hurt me or anyone I know. Any animal or human for this matter CAN BE TRAINED to be AGGRESSIVE just as much as they CAN BE TRAINED to be OBEDIENT, LOVING, and KIND. If you are trying to Ban Pitbulls because they are dangerous, then step up and do something about the violent gangs, bullies and terrorism haunting our streets. PEOPLE TRAIN THE DOGS TO BE AGGRESSIVE. So GET RID OF THEM, it's not the animals fault.
Humans impact a dogs behavior, the way the act isn't just the way their breed is.... it's what's happened to them that's made them that way.

My pit is the biggest baby ever he just wants to cuddle and sleep all day. Its so unfair to punish a dog just because of how they look its the owners fault not the breed.
