Please band with me to help stop the Pitbull breed & pit mixes from being banned in Australia and the United States and the world. It is human ignorance that has led to the things that are happening to the breed. Humans have always targeted SOMETHING and said it was evil,  and this is WRONG.. we as owners of all dog breeds need to stand together to fight BSL(Breed Specific Legislation) ..not just point the finger at one breed of dog.. BLAME THE DEED NOT THE BREED.Our dog today will be yours tomorow if this is not stopped.  It appears that the irresponsible owners are the ones making these types of laws become real and making it impossible for responsible owners to have any rights and justice for our dogs.These dogs used to be icons for America and now everywhere they are thought of as mud and dangerous. APBT"s have been used for many good things like drug sniffing (narcotics), rescue dogs,rehabilitation dogs, and bomb sniffing dogs , and police dogs and even military too just to name a few.. It is just plain ignorant generalizations that are dangerous for ANY dog breed. If someone raises a dog to be aggressive it will be, no matter what breed it is. So please find it in your heart to stop the hate and spread the love & education about this missunderstood breed. SOME FACTS ABOUT PITBULLS: America's first war dog was a Pit Bull named Stubby. He earned several medals during World War I and was honored at the White House. The Ken-L-Ration dog hero of 1993 was a Pit Bull named Weela. She saved 30 people, 29 dogs, 13 horses and a cat during a flood in Southern California. A Pit Bull named Bogart saved a four-year-old child from drowning in a swimming pool in Florida. Dixie, the Pit Bull, was inducted into the Georgia Animal Hall of Fame after she saved some children from a Cottonmouth snake. Pete the Pup on the orginal Little Rascals was a Pit Bull. Pit Bulls serve as narcotic and bomb sniffing dogs. One Pit Bull, Popsicle (named that because he was found in an old freezer) has the largest recorded single drug find in Texas history. Early in the 20th century, pit bulls were actually the No. 1 family dog. Pit Bulls are one of the most stable people-friendly dogs in existence.
