Save the Crusader

Recently a decision was made to change the long standing mascot of St. Luke’s School. Since 1970, the Crusader has been our mascot. 40 years of graduates and former students identify with this symbol- Countless FAA, NEPSAC and WNEPSA championships have been achieved under this banner. However, for reasons still unclear to most Alumni who have voiced concern, an “Identity Task Force” or ITF have come to the conclusion that a change must occur. In short- We strongly believe that the Crusader should remain the mascot of St. Luke’s (whose name apparently is more aligned with our values, even though we have absolutely zero religious affiliation today.) At the very least a much more transparent due dilligence process should take place involving a much broader group of alumni (recent grads, those not employed by the School etc) The undersigned wish to keep the St. Luke’s Crusader as the mascot of our school.
