I honestly cannot believe we hit 5,000 signatures for Spork because when I first typed this out I thought maybe only my neighbors would care. It is honestly so wild seeing this many people standing up for a little scared dog who is just trying to exist in Lafayette and keep his tail wagging. Thank you so much for paying attention to this and for helping me realize that I am not just shouting into the void about these ridiculous animal laws.

Spork is honestly just a trembling little guy who doesn't deserve this and seeing the numbers tick up is making me so emotional but we really need one final big push to hit that thousand mark before we take this to the city. I keep thinking about him shaking in my arms and if we can just get a few more people to look at this right now maybe we can finally get him home for good.

I just looked at the screen and saw 100 signatures which honestly feels massive for little Spork because he is just one scared dog who ended up in a bad situation. It is wild to think about that many people caring about a tiny dachshund who just needs to be home instead of in a kennel or worse because of a simple misunderstanding at the vet office.

Ads usual, the "authorities" are trying to get their jollies by being capricious, self-righteous BULLIES!
TOTAL GARBAGE. They want to kill a senior dog because they dont know how to handle animals? Lafayette needs to get a grip.
My heart is breaking for this little guy. He was scared and acting on instinct. Stop punishing dogs for being stressed out at the office.
Ridiculous. That vet tech should know better than getting her face that close to a terrified dog. Poor Spork is 10 years old not a dangerous animal.
17 pounds of terror?? Give me a break. Let the dog go home to his family.

What kind of vet are you that you don't know how to calm a scared dog! I have a monster cat, but when I found the right vet, he's a model patient. Learn how to be a better vet!
