Watching the wrecking crews tear down these homes feels like losing pieces of my own history. I have been spending my mornings documenting every remaining chalet because we cannot afford to lose another one of these landmarks to a soulless caravan park.

Seeing this level of support confirms that these chalets are more than just wood and paint to people. Knowing you care about this history as deeply as I do gives me the strength to keep fighting the developers.

My grandad built one of these back in the 50s. You cant just bulldoze history for a boring caravan park. Leave them alone!
i grew up playing round there, so sad to see them being torn down. leave our history alone please.
These chalets are what makes Whitstable special. Its a local treasure and they look amazing by the water. STOP THE DEMOLITION NOW.
Too much gets knocked down these days. Keep them standing they have been there forever.
Absolute shame. Went past yesterday and was shocked to see them gone. They add so much color to the beach.

Ridiculous. Nobody wants another generic caravan park. The charm of the coast is the chalets.
