We, the undersigned, are constituents in your district. We do not represent any individual political party, political action committee, or political ideology. We are diverse individuals who share a common interest to promote funding for public education in the state of Texas. We believe balancing the budget through severe cuts to public education will harm our children, our economy and the future of our state in long lasting ways. We believe the Texas legislature needs to utilize both short term and long term solutions for the current budget crisis. The solutions secured need to minimize the funding cuts to public education and minimize the impact on the 4.8 million children attending public schools in Texas. We believe investing in our children and schools is essential to ensure them and our State a prosperous future. We want you to make public education a priority in Texas and continue to invest in our public schools.
