We, the Undersigned, are concerned with the mentioned closing of Pocahontas High School, located in Pocahontas, Virginia within Tazewell County. Current student, former students, parents, families, and residents of Pocahontas, are truly opposed to the closing of the school and feel it should remain opened, to continuing educating our youth. Being a small town, PRIDE is built around the school itself. Whether it is at a sporting events or school programs, we show support and pride not only for our children, but for our school and town. Pocahontas represents th true meaning of Pride. We are going to unite with one another and allow our many voices to speak as one, as we ask you to let Pocahontas High School remain open, not only for the students, but for the town itself. We are here to show our true Indian Pride and let our Pride speak for us.
