The city council finally confirmed they are pulling the plug on the baseball complex project. I am completely drained by this, but I am relieved that our neighborhoods will remain as they are. Keep paying attention to the council meetings because we need to make sure this stays buried.

Save North Park and Preserve our Community Petition
To the attention of City of Alpharetta Mayor, Council members, and Parks & Recreation Committee members:
We respectfully request that you carefully consider the attached petition, which can found on www.savenorthpark.com, regarding the proposed John Smoltz Alpharetta Baseball Complex (JSABC). While many people support baseball, youth sports and the positive aspects of this proposal, at the same time we have many concerns with what has been presented.
City of Alpharetta (COA) residents and taxpayers, City of Milton (COM) residents and taxpayers, as well as the non-residents who work and commute in the Windward/Cogburn/Hwy 9/Hopewell/Bethany corridor will all have to deal with the consequences of this proposal. The content within this petition reflects many of those concerns.
We ask that you require more details than the promoters have provided, and that much thought be given to the impact of this proposal. Independent studies by unbiased parties should be obtained. Additionally, broader public comment should be allowed in order to accommodate all the concerned residents who wish to be heard.

Where is the study on how this will mess up our roads? Seriously. Nobody asked us about this.

Keep it green. We moved here for the park not for a giant stadium to be built in our backyard. Please stop this.

Windward is already too crowded. Adding a stadium is just crazy for the people living right next to the site. Listen to the residents for once.

The traffic in this area is already a nightmare. We dont need a massive complex right in the middle of our neighborhood making it impossible to get to work.

Ridiculous. My kids play outside there every weekend. Dont take away our community space for some sports facility.

STOP THE CONSTRUCTION. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
