The State Attorney has confirmed that the initiative targeting bar poker leagues is officially rescinded. We succeeded in demonstrating that these events do not violate the statutes cited by local law enforcement. I will maintain communication with the office to monitor for any future regulatory shift.

Pasco County Law Enforcement has begun an initiative that they hope will bring an end to the FREE Bar League Poker industry in the State. They site archaic Statutes and Laws that are confusing at best and have needed to be re-evaluated and or altered for quite some time. The FREE Poker industry does so much good for the economy and the people that it needs to be cultivated and grown, not forced into extinction. It provides additional revenue to the service industry by bringing in patrons on a traditionally slow day. It helps the people as they are able to enjoy a friendly game of cards with their friends and family with no 'Buy In' or cost to them. It helps the economy by providing jobs as Hosts and or Hostesses for the Events. It helps various charitable organizations by hosting fundraisers, food and toy drives and more. Yet it hurts NO ONE! There is NO VICTIM HERE! Our tax dollars and resources need to be better allocated protecting us from TRUE crime and not attempting to wipe out an industry that does so much good for the people and the industries that need it during these trying times.

The latest surge in support has grabbed the attention of local news outlets. I am currently scheduling interviews to clarify why law enforcement should prioritize actual crime over these poker leagues.

We already have enough rules to deal with. Let people play cards without the law sticking their nose in it.
This is so unfair to the servers and hosts who depend on these nights for tips. Florida needs to stop overregulating everything.
My friends and I look forward to this every single week. It is a fun community event and hurts nobody. Leave it alone.

Ridiculous waste of tax money. Leave the bars alone and go catch some actual criminals instead of harassing people just trying to have a beer and play cards.

There is no buy in so it is literally just a game. Why are they targeting this???
