The library doors are staying open and our neighborhood hub is officially safe. Seeing 1,706 people unite to protect this space has been the highlight of my year. We have secured our future for now but I will keep a close eye on the budget meetings to ensure our library …
Citizens of Fallston Maryland and those who support public libraries across our country would like the Harford County Public library to remain open. We realize that the down turn in the economy resulting in county budget cuts are the reasons we are being given as to why our library is slatted to close. We value our library and are willing to show our support by signing this petition.

My own children learned to read in these aisles and I refuse to watch those doors lock forever. We are nearing one thousand signatures and we need to push past this mark now to show the council that our library is essential.

My own children learned to read on those library chairs so seeing this momentum means the world to me. Please reach out to three neighbors right now and ask them to add their names while we push to reach our first hundred signatures.

My kids grew up in this library. It is vital for our community and we need a place to study and check out books. Do not close it!

Seriously? Closing a library is the first thing they think of to save money. So shortsighted. My grandkids would be lost without story time.

I have been coming to the Fallston branch for 20 years. Its the heart of this neighborhood. Please rethink this decision.

This is ridiculous. You find money for everything else but the one place that actually helps people learn and grow? Keep it open.
