they just announced that ysgol mornant is staying open for good. i honestly cant believe we actually pulled this off together but we kept the doors open for our community. lets have a great year and just keep an eye on things to make sure it stays this way.

HELP save our school! Ysgol Mornant is the only Welsh school in the area and is one of the first Welsh primary schools in the county! The school has a vital role in the Welsh language within the community. Without the school there would be no chance for children to learn the Welsh language! So please please please sign the petition and help us keep the Welsh language growing n the area!

This school is a fantastic part of the community I can't believe that it has even been considered to be closed . The Welsh I learned here has helped me to get a lovely job teaching other children to learn Welsh . It wasn't so much a school as a family . Please do not close this school !!
It's essential that Ysgol Mornant is allowed to continue to operate as a central component of and for the local community. It plays a unique and fundamental role in delivering Welsh-medium education for this part of Flintshire. Its closure would be a travesty.
Under Flintshires Welsh Education Strategic plan "they recognise that 5.9% of children in Welsh medium education is too low", not sure how closing or threatening to close a Welsh medium school helps to expand Welsh medium school roles.
PLIS, PLIS,PLIS helpwch i cadw'r ysgol yma ar agor. PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE help keep our school open, 3 generations of my family have attended Ysgol Mornant, My Mam, myself and both of my children, I would like to see my grandchildren attend there as wel.
As a former pupil and now with both my daughters as pupils this comes as a terrible blow to the welsh community. We are welsh speakers at home we need this welsh school to keep the welsh language and culture alive x
