We are starting a petition to submit to the Mayor of Lake Dallas to enable small businesses in Lake Dallas to stay afloat during this trying time. There was already a temporary ammendment in place by both Governor Abbott and the TABC. I will include the website that clearly states, on the TABC website that any business that holds a mixed liquor license and food certificate can sell alcohol to go with food. It has no provisions about private vs. non-private clubs. The information is publically available, on TABC letterhead (you have to download the official document from the website), and it seems to me that our local officials in the Lake Cities, especially Lake Dallas as they have 3 very valuable restaurants with bars, should not only be following the lead from the State of Texas, they should have a passionate, vested interest in ensuring our local businesses stay afloat so that their constituents have places to go back to when all of this chaos goes away.
