PLEASE SUPPORT Y DELYN WINE BAR - IN OUR RIGHT TO A FUTURE AND OUR RIGHT TO HAVE LIVE MUSIC
We currently (unrealised by us) only have a licence to play live music until 11pm.
We have applied for a licence extension until 1am to enable us to continue our existing live music tradition, and crucially to allow us to grow and evolve as a creative space and business, which is needed to ensure our survival.
Our neighbours, who have sustained a 7 year campaign of relentless attack and intent to damage us, have reported this time restriction to the authorities and subsequently objected to our application.
We need your support to help us persuade the relevant authorities that the wine bar is a valuable, loved and needed establishment in Mold.
At a time when the town very much needs an injection of quality, energy and life, to encourage more people to come out in the evening, we are being threatened with our life line and inextricable link with live music.
The wine bar wants to create more and regular quality live music nights, in addition to what we already have.
Please help us stop our neighbours using the law as a stick to damage something, instead of using the law as a force for good and protection as it was intended.
We create minimal disturbance and will continue to be considerate to our neighbours.
Without our live music licence being granted - the life force of the wine bar will be suffocated, and it WILL cease to exist.

We are approaching one hundred signatures and need to hit this milestone before we present our case to the council. Post the link to your Facebook page right now so we can show the authorities how much Mold supports our live music. Send a text to three friends and ask them to sign this petition before the end of the day.

It is unfathomable why a licence cannot be granted to an established, music venue, where quality artistes of varied musical genres can perform to an appreciative audience, whereas others prevail with rowdy karaoke and unpaid 'open mic' nights.
Mold would not be Mold without Y Delyn Wine Bar. We need more places like it! Will always hold a special place in my heart for the wine bar. Have made many friends for life in this bar. I even met my husband here! Please don't let us lose this rare treasure in the town.
I have been a keen patron of this great place since the early 90s - first as a regular, and now as a visitor since moving to Canada. It is a truly unique and valuable asset to Mold - an oasis in a desert of closed pubs and corporate sameness.
I have been a regular at the wine bar for many years & the live music is always very good never to load & the staff very considerate about noise levels Which is kept to a minimum, It is in a busy street not in a residential area of town
The wine bar offers probably the only hub in Mold and its surrounding areas for Celtic, traditional & Acoustic music, this attracts young talent and singer song writers from Mold and other areas to come and keep this much needed Culture in Mold and throughout Wales.
Well said, Alex Jones of Emsworth. I can confirm to you that their petition is based on a lie: "We currently (unrealised by us) only have a licence to play live music until 11pm." I know this is a lie because their Open Mic nights only allowed people to sing to play music until 11pm. I am sorry to see that lies and nastiness has won. I wish Spavens every success in their business - and that's despite them having been in direct competition to me when my business was open!

A unique, relaxed & civilised place that serves a seriously under-represented part of the local community & the only place that I actually enjoy going for a drink in Mold. The town would be shooting itself in the foot by losing Y Delyn. Good luck guys.
