Help us to save the fate of our beloved Trafalgar Arches Market in Brighton, a fully independent space with over 30 stall holders selling everything from vintage clothes and furniture to unique upcycled art.
We ask Network Rail to reconsider their decision to terminate the lease on Trafalgar Arches Market so that the independent business therein may continue trading in a right and proper manner.

This space means so much to the city because of the people who show up for it every single day. The credit for this momentum belongs entirely to those of you who refuse to let these arches disappear.

I am truly overwhelmed by the way this community has rallied behind our stalls. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined our little corner of Brighton could move so many hearts.

This is what diffenciates Brighton from other places. Wacky markets like this means visitors get the Brighton experience. Who needs yet another chain! Stop killing Brighton!!
We need this to bring life into trafalgar Street zone. It offers a space for local artists and business and there are not enough spaces in Brighton
Please don't close especially coming up to the summer where trade will increase dramatically
As a Trader in the market I am totally aware of the effort, time, money, goodwill and enthusiasm all of the Traders have contributed, to build this market from scratch. We're not running yet, but are beyond crawling, please don't bring us to our knees. Our petition in the market shows how many visitors and valued regular browsers and customers appreciate our little corner of Brighton.
The market is a valued addition to Trafalgar Street and allows independent traders to utilise what was otherwise completely wasted space. The food stalls are also popular. What's the alternative - a derelict building for rough sleepers and attracting crime?
It’s so important to keep markets alive this is what makes Brighton great local business are so important to so many people.

I used to go to this affordable market as a student at Sussex uni, please do not rep[lace it with bland soulless corporate non tax paying coffee chains
