We, the undersigned residents of Lake Lanier do hereby request to have our white geese returned to the Johnson Creek area of Lake Lanier. On Friday, one resident, Thad Baringer had the white geese picked up by animal control because he does not like the noise. These geese have been part of our area of Lake Lanier for over 22 years with no trouble and he has only lived here a short time. The site of these flightless geese swimming across the lake in various coves and coming up to be fed have brought joy to us residents for all of these years. They have become part of our family. Please don’t let one angry, bitter old man take this joy away from us.
