Regardless if you are a commuter that relies on the cafeteria for food or coffee every day, or a visitor wanting a drink during the intermission of the show, we are all united in wanting to maintain the lovely community and services provided by the SU.

For an area that is not catered for the students who live there, there is already very little available space for us to be that is both welcoming and affordable. The SU has slowly been cutting hours and increasing prices, put increased pressure on a group of people that have no where else to go really.
SU is too important to us with short lunches and don’t have enough time to go to the high street whilst having healthy nutritious food. Without it the school would feel lifeless.
It is an essential part of the school, and shouldn’t be treated as a business, instead it should be ran effectively to make sure people can afford the food against other food competitors whilst still staying afloat. It would be a massive shame to see this gone.
we feel disregarded and forgotten about at loughton campus. As students, we are just as much a part of the University of Essex as any other student based in Southend or Colchester and want to feel that way.
The su is vital for students who need warm food The vending machine that already exist are constantly not working and isn’t good The space is needed for class and down time - there’s already a lack of space It’s an artistic campus and limiting even more human interaction is inefficient and depressing
I need to be fed!
The cafe is a great, healthy, a much valued and needed addition to life at Loughton. It would be cruel to take it away and replace it with unhealthy and lifeless machines.

The SU is not only a social hub for all students at East 15, but it's also a source of income for the staff that work there. They love it here, they love us and we love them. That shouldn't be taken away for financial reasons, this is people's lives we are talking about. Cut something else, don't take away the staffs jobs, you're sacrificing their livelihood.
