Our beloved Stout Coffee is under threat of closure by OSU's administration, claiming that it is not a sufficiently profitable endeavor to maintain. We must tell them otherwise. Stout Coffee's value measures beyond monetary gains: it is a place of community, cultural growth, and relaxation. It has provided Stout with a convenient place to eat within its relative isolation, ensuring that Honors Students have time to focus on their advanced coursework in a setting conducive to further study.
I have been reading through the stories you all are sharing about why Stout Coffee matters and they are genuinely moving. It is clear this place is so much more than a business to everyone who spends time here. I am still working on getting a meeting with the administration to show them exactly what you have told me.

I truly did not think this would gain any traction when I first typed it up on my laptop. Seeing that 100 people feel the same way about Stout Coffee is honestly overwhelming. This is all thanks to you for proving that this place means something to us.

I am an OSU alumnus and a parent of an OSU undergrad who lives in Stout Hall. I like knowing there is a place that is clean, classy, and welcoming for my son to eat, study, and relax. Stout Coffee is one of Stout Hall's major selling points; it would be both distressing and detrimental to the students if Stout Coffee were closed.

Lived in 175 last year. Loved Stout coffee for the quick breakfast option it gave me on my way to class... having a hot breakfast option where I could eat while running a load of laundry was awesome as well.

I love Stout Cafe, and I don't even drink coffee (or live in Stout for that matter). I have been known to walk all the way accross campus just to grab a chicken wrap from Stout though, mainly because it is one of the few places on campus where you can get something to eat which won't make you feel like garbage for the rest of the day. Keep it open!

Great place to go study, especially for residents of Stout Hall. All other campus dining is located at a good 10 minutes' walk away, so it is very convenient for students in this corner of campus.

Stout Coffee is one of the major perks of the Honors College. Removing it would undercut the Honors program at OSU.

Great place for breakfast and lunch, super convenient for us and people on Greek Row, and there is always a friendly face down there. If anything, OSU should open it up for dinner also. They would make a lot of money off of Stouties who don't want to go to KD or SPW Dining.

This is the cutest little coffee shop! I randomly came across it one day and have loved it ever since.
