The Sand Springs Round Up Club has been in it's current location at River City Parks since 1971. It was constructed by a board of volunteers, & still to this day, is ran by volunteers. We have one of the best arenas around despite what the city thinks.
The city of Sand Springs wants to tear down the arena just to let the grass grow over. They do not have any plans for the area, yet they want the rodeo arena gone. Our club has 75 active members which is comparable to any other sports club in the park considering our contestants need horses to compete.
Our kids work hard with their horses to compete and the club not only provides them a place to do that, but they also provide an opportunity to earn expensive equipment such as saddles, boot, reins, spurs, & all kinds of necessities that help these kids excel in their sport. Everything this club does is for the kids. Please, sign our petition to let the Sand Springs Parks Department know that the Sand Springs Rodeo arena is a vaulable resource for the city of Sand Springs.

My kids competed at SSRUC for many years and now my Granddaughter is competing. This arena has the best arena footing around. Roundup Clubs help kids in many ways.
Save SS Round Up Club
Please reconsider your decision. By shutting the Round Up Club you are dening these kids the lessons of responsibility. As learning responsibility is one of the many lessons these kids learn by participating in the Round Up Club.
I hope you're able to save the ss round up club!!

every child in their community should get to do what they love to do whether it be softball, soccer, baseball, tennis, etc..so why should someone tell these kids that love to ride horses and rodeo that they cant do what they love. to some of these kids this is a dream of theirs from a very young age just like a child that dreams about being a major league baseball playor or an NBA star someday, let our kids , all of them, live their dreams
