After 25 years of existence, the Peninsula School District has decided to plow our BMX jumps above Kopachuck middle school. Some of the biggest names in the sport have ridden here from all around the world. This is where we grew up, learned about hard work and community and where we stayed out of trouble. We built this for ourselves and for the fellow biking community, do to a lack of liability and paper work, 25 years is about to get erased of the map. Even after proposing we pay for, sub divide, create an LLC and insure the property, the district still won't allow it. Maybe you can help? Please sign and pass along this petition.
I hope one day my kids won't face the same defeat. Work for your goals and build your dreams. This was ours. This is all we remember.

The school district is ignoring our proposals despite everything we offered to resolve their liability concerns. We are getting very close to the one hundred signature mark and I need you to push this link to your networks right now to ensure we hit that goal before they start the demolition.

Do not even think that plowing these is considered a "solution". Come on school district act intelligent. Figure ot out and don't let attorneys push you around! There is more liability of the kids riding their bikes to your school than being in this park!
I think the boys and young adults should be rewarded for their clean ."although dirty " and healthy endeavors. If they are willing to work so hard to provide this cooperation for this community, they deserve some respect.
save these awesome trails. I rode them as a kid and have some great memories here. not all cyclists are a bunch of punks smoking dope in the forests, and life lssons can br learned through the hard work put in during a days' dig.
I am a father of boys that race and jump Bmx , it has been such a positive way of life for them . You have to keep kids busy doing fun things or else they start to get into trouble. Kopachuck jumps are a prime example this . They have to stay!!!
Leaving ourselves and our kids a place to ride their bikes in the woods should be mandatory. It is dissapointing to see all the areas like this disappear. Please let's help raise a generation that can do more than play video games and the occasional stick and ball sports!
Keep the trails open for our grandkids!

Let them build,ride, and maintain their trails. This is a positive environment for the riders both young and old. If the city can have a skate park and release itself from any liability for injurys with a simple sign, the same can be done here.
