The Regent will remain open and operating under its current stewardship. This result belongs to the people who frequent the pub and refused to see it lose its place in our community. We should remain attentive to the pub's future needs as it continues to serve us all.

Final supporters
We the undersigned, being regular and loyal users of the Regent in Walton, ask JD Wetherspoons to rethink their decision to put the pub up for sale.
The pub is a valuable community asset, and many customers really value the keen pricing and high quality of the beers and food, especially as compared to other local pubs.
The pub was recently recognised by the Kingston & Leatherhead branch of CAMRA, and was voted it's Pub of The Year 2016 - in recognition of its excellent quality and range of ales.
The pub hosts other community meetings, and regularly hosts a coffee club, Pubwatch and a local special educational needs group.
Please keep The Regent open.

In a town full of gastropubs and expensive riverside pubs this is the one place we can go for good food and drink and not feel like our wallets are being exploited! The regent also keeps true the cinema history of the bar and the history of the town. It definitely shouldn't be scrapped!
If the pub is sold, even if to another pub chain, there can be no guarantee that it would continue to offer the same range of affordable beers and food, to the detriment of many of its regular customers
Please Tim Don`t close the Regent- There will be lots of very unhappy people if it closes.It Must be making money -it is the best pub in the area and is always busy.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to your customers and not the beancounters
I live locally and have been using the Regent regularly over many years. It's the only pub in the area that offers such a range of well-presented cask and craft ales at reasonable prices. Also, such a lovely building.
The greatest value breakfast and curry in Walton. .The Regent is a place for everyday people to have a night out not for those who have mega bucks in their pockets. I am a Walton born and bred lady and that building is part of Walton
Best and cheapest pub in walton, please don't close!!!
My father loves to visit this pub on his visits to Walton. Such a shame if this has to close.

Closing the Regent would be tragic my 88 year old Dad goes there every Friday myself every other.We meet up with some postman friends and a couple of Irishmen, a gathering we've dubbed the Friday club. Stopping this tradition would be an enormous loss especially for my Dad.
