My father loves to visit this pub on his visits to Walton. Such a shame if this has to close.

I'm a fan of this pub, and as someone who likes the area i cant afford to drink anywhere else. A really nice place to drink and eat. Not everyone is dumb enough to want to spend £4/5 a pint!!!

One of our favourite Wetherspoon pubs. Great for the whole family after weekend walks & sailing. Will be missed if this sell-off goes ahead.

I have used this pub many times, sometimes for a 9 o'clock breakfast when I lived nearby. It is a great institution in Walton and I would be very sorry to see it close. Another of my 'Wetherspoons locals', the Cap in Hand in Chessington, closed recently.

Excellent Pub. I can't believe that it doesn't make a profit.

Just a note: Despite my last comment listing me as from Camberley, I am actually from Walton. I love this pub. Being so close to the bus stop, it is especially handy if you miss the bus (especially when it only runs every 1h 10 m). It would be a great loss to the community if it closed :(

This is such a special pub, it attracts a vibrant cross section of people, not all of them those necessarily first springing to mind at other J D Wetherspoon operations, the staff have always tried a bit harder, the environment is unique, please give this matter some reconsideration, no other operator could make this work the way J D Wetherspoon do. Without their business model this pub will fail within two years, it is a real asset to the town and provides an affordable social existence to many who would not be able to afford to do so otherwise. It is more than a business decision needed here, this place really serves a need no other pub company/operator could. Come on JDW, stay with The Regent, and we will stay with you!
