Please let our city and state officials know that we support saving the historic Oaks Castle for the community: as an arts and technology center, a green space, an events center, and a place where the community can come together to enjoy this beautiful and rare asset to our community. Instead of letting this architectural beauty fall to ruin, let’s make it something we can be proud of, something that can help bring prosperity and quality of life to our community.

See what it can become:

Check out the following old mansions restored to their former beauty for the enjoyment of the community and the enhancement of the cities where they are located.

Johnson City needs to cultivate it's Art community. Art is an essential part of culture and community. With an active step to support the Arts, I believe Johnson City can not only increase the well-being of their citizens, but they can also create revenue and increase interest in our area.

Having worked at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis for 15 years, I support the possibilities that this property holds for the Johnson City community where I now reside.

As a student at ETSU, I am proud to see the direction that our community is moving towards. We are seeing growth, expansion, and a revival in the soul and atmosphere that surrounds Johnson City. In order to continue in that direction we must ensure we have a place where those voices, ideas, and talents can call home. This can be that place.

Opportunity, not abandonment! This is a once in a generation opportunity. It's the perfect point on the triangle__ETSU, downtown Johnson City, and The Oaks.

Being an artist in East Tennessee is rough. You have to hustle for work. This will help artist endeavors in the near future.

Please don't take down a beautiful landmark that is a piece of history. We know Johnson City has the money in the budget to fix it up and could benefit from it.
