The licensing board has reached a decision and our late license is officially restored. This outcome reflects the community support that ensured the Logie Baird can continue operation. We will remain diligent in our commitment to safety as we welcome everyone back for our regular hours.

Final supporters
The strict 11pm curfew and earlier closing hours have made Logies UNVIABLE in just two weeks. The livelihood of our nine staff plus five DJ’s and five doorstewards is at stake. Logies simply cannot survive six months until our scheduled licensing board review. Let’s not be a town with no entertainment for our young people and with our rejuvenated C-listed cinema lying empty once again. Since being told we were being sent for a review in November we have made significant changes and operational improvements working with Police Scotland and have had five incidents in the last 5 months. This is great work. We would all like no incidents. But lets put this into perspective and in the context that we have a 350 people capacity and used to have 700 people through our doors each weekend. This decision has to be reconsidered urgently - please restore our late licence and return the 1am curfew enjoyed by the rest of the town. Otherwise Logies WILL close. Let’s move forward not backward Helensburgh. (P.S ignore where it asks you to donate dollars - close that window - your signature will still be registered )

The Logie really is the only place to go at the weekend, We went to The Clyde last night and someone had to be removed by the door staff. This hasn't solved any problems with fights all its done is move them elsewhere and ruin somebody else's business.
It’s important Helensburgh has something for all ages and tastes - and even though I don’t go to the late night music, the Logie Baird is my local for watching football with fish and chips - and long may it continue.
Restore the late licence at The Logie Baird. Our young people have few places to go at the weekend and for somewhere to enjoy themselves we risk them having to make journeys into Glasgow for a night out.
It’s ridiculous that logies has been targeted here- all that will happen is people will go further afield having an impact on not just logies but many other businesses also. Trouble will just be brought elsewhere where drink is involved, I worked in logies for months and I had no cause for concern.
Should be take back to Licensing Board ASP for reconsideration the town needs a late night venue,plus the fact the number of jobs that could be lost . There has been five incidents in the last five months that is not much considering the numbers using the premises .
Helensburgh needs more than one late opening pub where people can go, especially our young people who deserve a local place that also provides jobs in the town and makes use of a lovely old building.
Give this pub another chance it’s owned by responsible and professional people

The town needs somewhere that is open late, employs local staff, contributes to the local economy and keeps a building in town not only in good condition but open. It is unlikely to function for anyone outside the hospitality industry.
