Helensburgh needs more than one late opening pub where people can go, especially our young people who deserve a local place that also provides jobs in the town and makes use of a lovely old building.

We need to support businesses in our country, especially those who work closely with our police to cut down on anti-social behaviour.

The owners have been unfairly treated in my opinion.

Closest thing to a nightclub in Helensburgh and it’s shocking the fact that people can ruin it. Get better bouncers

What a shame to see a decision that negatively impacts not just the Logie Baird, but also several other Helensburgh businesses, not to mention their staff and customers. Restricted opening hours will likely force Logies to close and will also damage our local economy more broadly as it continue to encourage locals to travel to Balloch or elsewhere to spend our hard earned cash. It’s bad for customers, staff and Helensburgh business owners in general. It’s been great to see Helensburgh’s restaurant and social scene improve so much over the last several years. This is in no small part due to folks like Cara and Milan’s willingness to invest time, energy and money in developing businesses in Helensburgh. I sincerely hope that the powers that be have the maturity and intelligence to realize the unintended consequences of their decision and the courage and pragmatism to revisit that decision in light of the negative impact it is clearly having on the town. The 11pm curfew is killing the business. Isn’t the sensible thing to kill the curfew?

It is a very sad state of affairs not only to us who enjoy our time there. It also affects a beautiful family business. They employ lots of staff and created The Logie Baird as a friendly venue with great entertainment. No logic in this at all to the customer or to the owners.

Don't forget the Knock on effect on the towns take aways and taxis. The towns youth will simply go out of town to enjoy a night out.

Closing Logie's is absolutely disgusting. As the petition says putting the livelihood of 19 members of staff at risk. Then further to that there's the risk to their family homes when they fall behind with their rent or mortgages. People need somewhere to go with a late licence. Or has some beady eyed businessman got his grubby little hands on the building with a hidden agenda in mind????

Ridiculous to expect our young ones to have to travel to Glasgow if they want a dance. Our town should be for ALL ages.
