I would like to thank every single person who took the time out of their day to sign a petition that may or may not have effected you! I am forever grateful, and these trees will stand as a reminder to me (personally) to not take this beautiful world that GOD has created for us to enjoy for granted! This is a project without much tought. These trees are an asset both economic and historic to Louisiana. Another option needs to be found. Lower the speed limit. It is to fast for the conditions. Put up barricades around the trees closest to the roads. Do not cut down these trees.
I live in the area and I just can't imagine why these wonderful and majestic landmarks are even being considered for termination. The trees along 182 are just marvelous and wondrous. I know the one fell in front of the hospital, but that doesn't mean you should tear them all down.
We can not replace 200 to 300 year old trees in our lifetime. These beautiful trees are the reason people love coming to Louisiana. Many of the trees scheduled to be cut down were planted by ancestors of people that live in our area. Please save our live oak trees everywhere!
the trees are not anymore dangerous than a parked car, a house , a ditch, or anything else on the side of the road. those trees have been there way before any road was built. put up a guardrail or move the road, which needs to be redone anyway.
I drive under those oaks everyday, several times a day. My home is less than half a mile past those trees. It's a welcome home feeling I get daily driving under those trees. Please DO NOT cut down the trees.
Oak Trees are marvelously beautiful and extremely important creations of GOD. As stewards, we humans must strive to protect this wonderful tree species, and all other tree species for that matter. This world would really be a much less safer and beautiful place without trees. Please consider every single tree species and sub-species seriously, and be thankful to GOD for this priceless gift and creation.

My father my county agent of St. Mary Parish for 30-something years. He was instrumental in getting the project of the trees planted on the Adeline stretch. Please don't destroy the beautiful oaks. There has to be an alternative.
