The momentum behind our request to protect the Magnolia tree has reached a significant point of influence. This broad public interest confirms that the community values the presence of our local environment. I am currently preparing to present this collection of signatures to the city officials to request a formal review of their plan.

I live in Lompoc I agree, they destroy and ruin 30+yr old trees in Lompoc. :( the ones in front of Fillmore are gone...
There’s literally streets that are horrendous to drive on ? Huge pot holes that damage your tires and car and the city wants to WASTE My tax dollars cutting down a tree? I am livid!
Lompoc USED to be Prettier because of its trees. Curve the sidewalk around the tree. Stop cutting down all of the pretty trees!!
The trees here in lompoc give this town beautiful scenery! I lived on cherry and z st and it was a shame to the city cut down all the trees! Now it looks so bleak!
Save this tree. Remove the broken sidewalk. Cut the roots affecting the area and then replace the sidewalk. It’s that simple. The city doesn’t need to have their hands in everything. If the homeowners are willing to pay and fix it then let them.
Two many trees are being cut due to no founds to care for. Not fair to our children in the community who do not have a choice to enjoy the shade of a beautiful tree!
Please save this beautiful tree!! The side walk. can probably be redone if that is the problem.

As the Amazon aka the lungs of the planet burn I find it absolutely sinister that the city of Lompoc would even consider killing a tree populated with pollinators. Is Lompoc part of the problem or part of the solution?
