Oak Trees are marvelously beautiful and extremely important creations of GOD. As stewards, we humans must strive to protect this wonderful tree species, and all other tree species for that matter. This world would really be a much less safer and beautiful place without trees. Please consider every single tree species and sub-species seriously, and be thankful to GOD for this priceless gift and creation.

these trees have seen civil war ,german prison camps n thrive n Jeanette.nothing thrived n this town but drugs n crime but ur going kill the trees move the road for once do what's right n jeanerette but crime

keep cutting trees& pouring more concrete. See how much oxygen your grandchildren will have to breathe. let alone the beauty of these oaks. who may made this establishment God?we need some Johnny oakseed ppl . planting all over this land . and start at the roadsides . these trees aren't growing in the road..get a grip and spend our tax dollars fixing pot holes or dig a hole &plant a tree DO DUMB ASSES KNOW HOW MANY TREES ARE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP CUTTING UNTIL YOU GET THEM ALL,ON EVERY ROAD EVERYWHERE? LEAVE THE TREES ALONE. PLANT MORE. MOVE THE ROAD.

I petition that cutting down live oaks over 75 or 100 y.o. should be against the law in all ACADIANA PARISHES and a fine imposed for negligent injury done to live oaks from negligent drivers or construction equipment. some of these trees were planted in precise locations LONG AGO... for an obvious reason.. investment or aesthetics ? Its an HISTORICAL INVESTMENT !! I challenge any genious to grow an antibellum oak from a sapling to antebellum maturity in his or her lifetime.. It should be a mortal sin to HACK such MAJESTY. PISSES ME OFF
