Steuben County is planning to tear down the historic Exhibit Hall, which was used for many years before the construction of the Event Center. Not only was it used for the 4H fair, but also for weddings and other events. Help us save this historic building and petition the county for its preservation.

The county plans to tear it down in late August/early September, so we must act fast. Help us bring this issue to the county's attention and save this building for future generations.

The level of public interest in preserving the historic Exhibit Hall has moved beyond my initial expectations. This momentum confirms that the community values the preservation of our local heritage.

Please save this marvelous, historic structure. A great many of us have fond memories of 4H fairs, Girl Scout camp and other events in that building. The new buildings are nice, but they just don't have the soul of this wonderful old structure. It's really true that they don't build 'em like this any more.

This is a beautiful building. A perfect place for wedding receptions and weddings. Family reunions, class reunions, any kind of party or get together. It would make more sense to fix it up a bit. Install AC and rent it out for a reasonable price to Steuben County residents. For out of county or out of state people charge a bit more.

Please save the timber frame exhibit hall. It would be a tragedy to destroy such in integral part of Steuben County History. Yes, I realize there are structural issues. But, it is repairable, and it can be repurposed. It would be a great option for the smaller weddings, family reunions, and rustic gatherings.

This is an important piece of Steuben County. Ed Ralston can tell quite a bit of the history. I've had 4-h kids here for 21 yrs, served many a hog roast in the basement. Please secure the foundation and preserve this building. Sheryl

My parents met dancing in this hall in the 1950's!! It has major historical value & should remain standing!!

Several of my family's reunions were held here in the past. Very neat wooden floor and gathering place on main level. It does have some issues with the basement and aesthetics on the outside, but there's no reason it can't be salvaged and repurposed. Don't get rid of the old just because of the new. We scrap too much!

It is sad how much times have changed and strayed from the way that 4-H used to be. It is such a family centered program and we need more of that NOW so don't take away the plans for a better future that was left before us.

This building will be greatly missed. I used this building when I first started 4-H and many people before me have used it also.
