It is sad how much times have changed and strayed from the way that 4-H used to be. It is such a family centered program and we need more of that NOW so don't take away the plans for a better future that was left before us.

This building will be greatly missed. I used this building when I first started 4-H and many people before me have used it also.

Please save this amazing building. As a ten year 4-H member who has been involved with 4-H all her life, from my older brothers 10 years, to my years as a 4-Her, to currently as a volunteer, I have countless memories of this building. Viewing mine and others amazing projects, hosting mini 4-H camp, decorating it with Junior Fair Board, and having my achievement winner interviews here. This building is unique and historically important, not only for 4-Hers but for community members. At least restore it as an area to be rented out for wedding, reunions, and receptions. Continue to teach our younger generation the importance o remembering and learning from our past.

This is a historic part of the fairgrounds it should be turned into a beautiful event space and museum showcasing the 4-h program through history in the county.

We as a country are killing our history one Monument and or building at a time when will we learn? Look at Europe most of their history is in the buildings. SHAME on Steuben county if it's torn down.

Please save this marvelous, historic structure. A great many of us have fond memories of 4H fairs, Girl Scout camp and other events in that building. The new buildings are nice, but they just don't have the soul of this wonderful old structure. It's really true that they don't build 'em like this any more.

This is a beautiful building. A perfect place for wedding receptions and weddings. Family reunions, class reunions, any kind of party or get together. It would make more sense to fix it up a bit. Install AC and rent it out for a reasonable price to Steuben County residents. For out of county or out of state people charge a bit more.

It is part of our history...fix and restore it!! I have slept in this building at Girl Scout camp and my girls had an opportunity a few years ago to sleep in it at camp too. I displayed all my 4-H projects here and so did my daughters. Our heritage is important. This building is important to our community. So what message are we sending to the youth by tearing it down and building new?? It's not what I want to teach my children. Preserve and take care of what you have.

Please save the timber frame exhibit hall. It would be a tragedy to destroy such in integral part of Steuben County History. Yes, I realize there are structural issues. But, it is repairable, and it can be repurposed. It would be a great option for the smaller weddings, family reunions, and rustic gatherings.

This was the main building at the fair when I was in 4H every morning we would get milk and donuts from the extension homemakers. It is a timber frame construction like a barn. Has a beautiful fireplace yes it may need some work but it is a irreplaceable type of building. I think we could put a new foundation in the hill above the lions building. Have someone like Elkins house moving set it up there. One side would have the windows face out toward the lake with a nice view the other side could have the entrances at ground level next to the drive. If we need some new timbers the Steuben Antique Power Assoc. could saw some timbers at the Prairie Heights farm. Please help save a wonder building!

You cannot destroy such a memorable building. My parents had their wedding reception there just like many others. It was used as the food collection/kitchen for girl scouts when I was younger. Many people have memories about the exhibit hall. Please consider moving it up top next to the new one and creating a museum of sorts. I still consider it the only exhibit hall. Just please consider all the memories you will be throwing away.
Thank You
