I learned to swim at this pool. it serves a great purpose for the community. The boost in self esteem, for young children last a lifetime.

If the pool closes children in Halifax will not have a Learn To Swim Program! What would Winnie Zimmerman say about this?!

I live in town and every year since I can remember I spent my summer at the pool. It's a huge part of my childhood and I even began to work there last year. I know that a lot of people have many memories at this pool and it was be devastating for the pool to close.

My family started going last summer. They went almost every day, the kids love it! To close the pool would be a shame, it would leave alot of kids without the experience of being able to swim on a regular basis. They also made new friends when Jelly Bean Junction brought the kids to swim.

we worked to hard for a grant and fundraising to support the pool. please dont close the pool!

It is very important for the children in the community to have a safe and fun activity to do during the summer. It provides them with exercise, sunshine, and socialization. WIthout a community pool open for the children to use, the risk for children to find harmful activities and/or spend too much time using technology during the summer will increase. Swimming is a life skill that the children and adults need especially when we live by the river.

I use to swim at that pool when I lived up there and I truly was one of the few things that did keep me out of trouble.

Please keep the pool open.
