Save the Gender Wiki!
The Gender Wiki has been a safe space for countless people who don't fit the binary, and many people on there view each other as a found family of sorts, especially when our own families may not support us.
That being said, Fandom has given them two weeks to find a new place to host before it is shut down. Fandom staff has claimed that "this wiki has gone too far in positioning everything as a gender identity," which mostly refers to xenogenders, neurogenders, etc. which has made it a safe place for people whose neurodivergence or trauma has shaped their identities. There is currently a Fandom-based petition but this will allow those without a Fandom account to support us as well.
The mods are active and friendly, most of the people I've chatted with are lovely, and it's a come-as-you-are community at risk of being shut down, which would cause far greater harm than any of the pages with trauma-based identities could cause. If you could find it in your heart to sign, even if you aren't part of the community, everyone on there would greatly appreciate it, and if you wanna share this petition as well and/or help with the archiving project, even better!

shutting the gender wiki down is nothing short of transphobia and queerphobia. it has helped me so much over the years to learn about myself and to do so will be removing a resource that helps young trans people feel seen.
Deleting this wiki is both hypocritical (the content listed as the reason for the deletion is far more prevalent in other wikis which Fandom has no issue with) and clearly bigoted (due to the hypocrisy, the reason the wiki is being deleted is clearly that it's about Queerness and gender identities.)
GenderWiki is one of very few comprehensive gender databases. Its important for people to be able to see what the experiences of others are, even if they don't fit into the typical definition of gender.
This Wiki is a huge resource for me because of all the work I do - archiving terms, coining terms, writing essays, and making connections with my own community. Without it, I'll be losing access to so much helpful information and inspiration. I can't let that happen.
This wiki has helped me and many others describe our own gender and identities to others in an easy to manage way! Please better moderate your wiki rahter than making others suffer for people's misdeeds.
Gender Wiki was an invaluable source for understanding the diversity of gender and was my go to for understanding terms I had never heard.

This is erasure, queerphobia & transphobia. No debate. By deleting this wiki an incredible amount of archived information would be gone, information that has helped so, so many people understand themselves better and/or learn more about others. Not to mention another online safe-space would be deleted.
