I, Tamara Langstroth Wilson am starting This Petition is for the people of New Brunswick and Everyone who Adores & Loves the Historical Covered Bridges, To Save One that is on the chopping block and being destroyed now. The French Village Covered Bridge is the last & Longest Free standing Covered Bridge in New Brunswick & our province/govn't wants it removed and put a Bailie Bridge in it's place. What a Catastrophe if this is to actually take place. Please ban together and sign the petition in Favour of saving this bridge as well as all remaining 59 Covered Bridges left in New Brunswick. Covered Bridges are a part of our Heritage here in N.B. and they should be preserved and respected. We are known for our picturesque Covered Bridges and they are dwindling down at an alarming rate. Stand up for what you believe in and Help New Brunswick Heritage even if the Province lets us down regarding our beloved Covered Bridges.

My grandfather used to talk about covered bridges all the time, they mean something to people here. This one should be repaired and kept for the next generation.
Please save the French Village bridge, its a beautiful piece of our province and once its gone its gone forever. A Bailey bridge wont bring back the charm or the history.
The last free standing covered bridge in the province should not be removed. That is just crazy to me, there has to be a way to preserve it and still make it safe.
I drove by there lots of times and always thought what a nice old bridge. These covered bridges are what New Brunswick is known for, not more steel and concrete.
We keep losing our heritage piece by piece and then wonder why the province feels plain. Save the bridge, fix it if needed, but dont take away one of the last things that makes NB special.
Save this bridge .. AND any covered bridges that need repair. They are a part of our province's charm and history.
