https://citydev-portal.edinburgh.gov.uk/idoxpa-web...We would applaud the Catchelraw trust and David Wilson & Barrat homes if they left the land to its already established purpose, which is much needed, quality farm land, or allowed it in part to re-wild, made a community orchard, community gardens and allotments. There are many ways in which this land can be used to benefit the existing community and set a precedent for future developers, who think that they can erode our green space for profit. This is a time for the innovators in planning and development to step forward, so that we don't leave behind a legacy of shame for generations to come. Please remember that when the Greenbelt land is built upon, it is gone forever!

We, the community, cannot allow the destruction of this precious land - it will cripple the already exhausted resources available to its existing residents.
Further housing development here will result in:
- Even Less access to essential services like GP appointments, Dentist appointments and Primary School Places.
- Even more congestion on Frogston Road and the surrounding area, resulting in poorer public transport and road conditions.
- Poorer air quality
-The destruction of important and protected greenbelt land, supporting an array of red listed species such as Skylark, Tree Sparrow and Yellowhammer.

The greedy developers at Barratt Homes think we will just roll over and let them pave over our greenbelt for a quick profit. We are nearing 500 signatures and need a massive surge right now to prove that our community will not be silenced by corporate arrogance.

Edinburgh doesn't need more 4/5 bedroom family homes. The density of housing here suggests more luxury homes of the sort that we don't need. The arguments for the development are all a fallacy. It's all about money.
I object. The plan suggests up to 4 storeys along frontage of Frogston Road, which will devalue the semi rural aspect of the area, thus potentially devaluing our homes and increasing pollution, congestion and adding more stress to under resourced infrastructure.
this field means a lot to me as someone who lives in the area next to the field. getting rid of it would not only be unattractive but would also decrease the wildlife and green space which is detrimental to people’s physical and mental health especially mine as a child
I’m a local resident . Already Frogston Road cannot cope with the traffic as it is currently, so how can it cope with an extra 400 families. Where do the children of these families go to school locally and which GP practice has space?
We are facing a wildlife crisis and this area provides essential habitat for a diverse range of animal, plant and bird life. We cannot afford to carry on depleting the natural environment in this way. Stop sacrificing the greenbelt for suburban sprawl.
Far too many houses here already in densely built new developments and inadequate infrastructure and essential services. I thought that some of the Mortonhall owned land was to remain as a working farm, part of Henry Trotter’s bequest. Hearing that Tree Sparrows, visitors to our garden, and Yellow Hammers and Sky Larks, birds whose song heralds the onset of summer and reminds us of the countryside that once prevailed around this park of Edinburgh, are under threat from this development is extremely sad for us all. Please leave some unspoilt land for us to enjoy.
Hi anonymous contributor from London - We need more affordable homes. We DON’T need more low quality/high cost 4-5 bedroom houses. If Barrat or David Wilson homes cared about the housing crisis, then they would build 50% ,or more, affordable housing in their developments, instead of the required 25%. If you ever make it up this way, take a walk around the proposed sight and see what the community stands to lose if this development goes ahead.

The 2030 city plan for development has removed this area of land from future development due to it being green belt. We must only redevelop on brown field sites. Local infrastructure is pushed to its limits with lack of gp services and schools for these new developments.
