We strongly protest the government's decision to set up IS terrorist detention camp in Taiping by end of 2016.
Taiping is a heritage city with 32 landmark being recognised as Malaysia's 1st and had been recognised as our National Heritage.
In it's effort to revive this historial city, Taiping community had worked hard to promote its tourism. With it's beauty & historical heritage, Taiping is tipped to be the next tourism hub in our country. Therefore, a IS terrorist detention camp in Taiping will definitely be a huge blow to tourism at Taiping.
Our petition & signature campaign to gather at least 10,000 signature in order to present it to the Home Minister during the next parliamentary meeting in October this year.

Selamatkan Taiping Bandar Warisan kita! Kempen tandatangan membantah kem tahanan pengganas IS di Taiping.
Kami membantah keputusan kerajaan mendirikan kem tahanan pengganas IS di Taiping menjelang akhir tahun 2016.
Taiping adalah Bandar Warisan di mana 32 tapak bersejarah telah diumumkan sebagai tapak yang Pertama di Malaysia dan juga diiktiraf sebagai Warisan Negara.
Sejak kebelakangan ini, Taiping berjaya membangun sebagai sebuah bandar pelancongan. Justeru itu, pembinaan kem tahanan pengganas IS akan menjejaskan industri pelancongan di Taiping dan mencemarkan imej bandar warisan kita.
Kempen tandatangan ini berharap dapat mengumpul sekurang-kurangnya 10,000 tandatangan rakyat supaya Petisyen ini diserahkan kepada YB Menteri Dalam Negeri sempena persidangan Parlimen pada bulan Oktober ini.
Kami memohon kerjasama dan jasa baik anda supaya menyokong usaha kami.

国阵政府计划今年杪重开本已关闭的太平甘文丁扣留营以把全国IS恐怖分子迁往太平今天遭到强烈抗议，太平区国会议员倪可敏并发起万人签名运动要求政府即刻取消上述决定！
与发展大蓝图背道而驰
占地93英亩的甘文丁扣留营于1973年11月1日开始啓用，未经审讯扣留了许多政治犯，严重影响太平形象，太平人经过引颈长盼40余年直到内安法令废除后该扣留营才在近两年关闭并转型成囚犯训练中心。
令人震惊的是全国监狱局总监拿督哈山却于近日透露，当局已经决定重开甘文丁扣留营并计划把全国监狱内的数百名IS恐怖分子在今年杪全部集中扣留在甘文丁，这项决定完全把太平人蒙在鼓里，无视民间发展旅游业的努力，引起了人们强烈抗议。
打击旅游业
太平市议会擬定的发展大蓝图是把太平发展成为文化古迹旅游城市，行动党更成功向中央政府争取把“太平32项全国第一”列入国家历史遗产，可是国阵现在却计划把太平列为全国唯一的IS恐怖分子扣留营，这项决定不但明显的与发展大蓝图背道而驰、也深深打击太平的旅游业及太平身为古迹城（Bandar Warisan)的形象。
我们计划在两个月内收集至少一万个太平居民的签名以赶在今年10月在国会提呈给内政部长拿督斯里阿末查希，促成当局取消有关决定。

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to help protect our city. If each person reading this can just reach out to a couple of neighbors today we might actually reach our first hundred signatures much sooner than I ever imagined.

Maybe govt wants to add another 'first' for tpg? First govt rest house for IS in Msia
This detention camp will certainly tarnish the image of our peaceful town Taiping ~ we are busy promoting the tourism, why do this la ?
Please go somewhere else ! Malaysia is not really a small country which you can't find another place to build detention camp. Why Taiping ?
I need to protect my families here. My home , my parents and my kids are all living here in Taiping. Please don't hurt us because of that we are just from a small little town. Pls respect us and do not use us !!!! We pay taxes , we obey to the country's rules. We protect our county. Pls to return us with harmful actions.
I love my my home town"Taiping"! I cannot bear the thoughts of this beautiful town where I born and grew up being a detention camp for IS! They should be locked in one of the remote islands of M'ysia!! Please do not let this happened!! Though I'm abroad I still loved Taiping!
Taiping means peaceful. Pls let the town stay peaceful forever

Carilah pulau pulau yg tiada rangkaian internet, tidak ramai penduduk, susah komunikasi dgn pihak luar, tiada kemudahan perhubungan, pengangkutan. Pilih Taiping hanya memudah pihak yg mengurus tapi menyusahkan penduduk.
