Dear Friends Help save Tioman! We are appealing to you to help stop the destruction of Tioman as we know it. Imagine a mega RM40million marina project scheduled to be built at and around Tekek, of all places! The marina would presumably encourage traffic over Pirates\' Reef, which is an excellent wreck divesite, and its development would surely add more pollution to the environment. Those of you who were in Tioman when the barge was onshore at Tekek in the 90s would remember the damage it made to the shore reefs along that beach front. To add insult to injury, a few months later, the tugboat that came to remove the barge struggled and churned out a barrage of sand that covered the coral in the immediate vicinity for months. So please \"sign\" this petition and pass the info to all your friends who\'ve had the pleasure of enjoying the idyllic life above land on Tioman and the wonders of the sea around it.
