The Burnet County Commissioners want to pay to remove the Wallace Riddell Monumet from it's current location since being place in 1980. They want to move it to the Old Jail on the Square. ( I updated this cause others wanted to act like I stated they were going to put it in a storage with tarp over it.)They are willing to spend money to do this , and they claim they do not have the money to fix the county roads. Speak up and be heard. Roads before Monument move. The price is 3765.00 the funds will come out of to Tourism or Allocated Fun. Why Not fix Fort Chroghan in Burnet as the room that holds many useful old History papers smell very bad. I am sure that would be a great use of this money.
