The current clearing of a parcel adjacent and fronting Puuiki Cemetery is potentially encroaching historic Puuiki Cemetery where many community residents whose Ohana span several generations have Kupuna that worked for the Waialua Sugar Plantation and buried there. They are comprised of many ethnicities, age and other community residents.

The attached photo was taken within the Children Section clearly depicts what has been done and continuing.

This petition is being done because of this and recommends the Hawaii State Historic Preservation Division place Puuiki Cemetery on the Hawaii Registry of Historic Places to protect it.
