We, the undersigned, oppose the diversion of any more water from the Tuolumne River. More than half of the Tuolumne is already diverted for agricultural and urban uses, resulting in a dramatic decline in Chinook salmon, steelhead trout and other sensitive species. With the future of the Sierra snowpack uncertain due to global warming, it is in our interest to minimize our dependence on the Tuolumne. We encourage the SFPUC and its wholesale customers to prioritize water conservation, efficiency and recycling.
I grew up fishing on these banks and watching the water levels drop breaks my heart. We are nearly at five hundred names and hitting that goal will force the officials to finally acknowledge our demands.

I spent the morning walking the banks of the Tuolumne and the drop in water levels is even worse than I feared. Your stories about the river are fueling my upcoming meetings with the board because they cannot ignore the people who actually live near these waters.

I grew up fishing on the Tuolumne and it breaks my heart to see how low the water gets. Please stop messing with the ecosystem before there is nothing left to save.

CONSERVE WATER. SF needs to get their act together and stop acting like the supply is infinite when clearly it is not.

Ridiculous that we are still doing this. The river is dying.

Stop taking all the water. The salmon are basically gone already. Leave some for the actual river and the creatures who live there.
