Help us save Prestatyn Signal Box from demolition.

The signal box has been in used for 120 years and now, due to an upgrade to the signalling methods, the signal box is deemed useless and is set for demolition.

We don’t want to see this happen and want to retain a piece of Prestatyn’s heritage.

Take a look at St Albans South to see a prime example of signal box preservation... http://www.tlr.ltd.uk/sigbox/home.eb

It certainly needs to be kept and preserved properly as a piece of Prestatyn's heritage . It also needs a sustainable future planned for it . I'll be working to help with this & the area as always.

it would be cheaper to pass it over to a well organised group than to demolish it and lose a piece of railway and prestatyn history.

Keep the signal box it is part of Welsh history, Harlech signal box was taken down in 1988, if I had been in the UK at the time would also have petitioned for it to stay, one of my Uncles worked there and it was part of my childhood.

It's a lovely creature of what used to be a prize winning station! Let's keep the station looking welcoming especially for tourist as it's their first impression of the town and tourism is a large part of your local economy.

I recently lost my husband who was a massive train enthusiast so I would like to help save the signal box in his memory

Delighted to hear that it will not be demolished. Hopefully, it can be used for a community project with secured access. Would be great if a new path is laid connecting it with the Morfas.
