Poppy’s Coffee is more than a creative space — it’s a place where art, creativity, and community come alive in the heart of Tranøy. Since opening, we’ve poured our hearts into creating a welcoming space for everyone — locals, families, travellers, and artists alike. A place to share art, design, conversation, and connection.

But now, due to visa issues, Aidan has been told he must leave Norway by August 22nd. If this happens, Poppy’s Coffee will be forced to close its doors indefinitely.

This isn’t just about losing a business. It’s about losing an art and creative hub that brings people together, supports other small businesses, and adds vibrancy to our beautiful town.

We are appealing the decision, but we need your help to show how important Poppy’sCoffee is to our community. By signing this petition, you are standing with us to keep this space open — for the artists, for the families, for the visitors, and for everyone who believes in keeping Tranøy alive with creativity and connection.

Please sign and share widely. Together, we can show that this community cares — and that Poppy’s Coffee matters.

Please, let Aiden, a positive and creative Englishman, stay in Norway and run the cafe which he and his little family have created on Tranøy. The cafe will most probably become popular for the inhabitants of Tranøy and for visiting tourists, both Norwegian and from foreign countries. Not only as a place where they serve coffee and cakes, but also a meeting point for people.

Not only an amazing social space, but also people that contribute to the munincipality. In addition to the lovely cafe space in Tranøy, Aidan is doing Graphic design and art. The family is a boost of energy into our little corner of the world, and by rejecting Aidan's visa, you are rejecting a great sybol of entreprenourship, joy and energy! UDI's lack of interest and energy to research properly and lack of empathy is truly frightening!

A wonderful young family that has established itself in our small municipality where we need their creativity that offers something new for everyone. A fantastic contribution to our small community of art, creativity and joy. We are a small community and we need people like Aiden and his family, who contribute with a gathering point for everyone on a year-round basis. We want Aiden and his family to continue to create joy for all of us here in Hamarøy. Please fulfill our wish and let Aiden and his family stay here?

This is one of the most unique cafe in small town, and I sincerely hope it remains open. Despite the challenges the owner is facing, this place has given me an unforgettable and heartwarming experience.
