The current council administration, recently having reviewed the Primary School Estate, have proposed that Gartconner Primary should merge with Harestanes, Hillhead and Oxgang Primaries on either the current Oxgang/St Flannan's site. In addition to this they also need to account for nursery provision of at least 90 kids and a unit for Merkland, which could also be attached to the school. No thought has been given for the traffic congestion around these sites, no educational benefits for the move have been given and a school roll of 651 (excluding nursery) is not appropriate for a primary. Please help to save Oxgang Primary and St Flannan's by signing this petition to show the council we are not happy with these proposals.
