We as the Economic Freedom Fighters Student Command(EFFSC) are taking a stand against gender based violence, as we have witnessed such behaviour within our residences, as well as our campuses, therefore we are asking the university of Kwazulu-Natal to prioritise the cases of gender based violence and put harsher consequences for such actions into place, as well as assist the victims by sending them for therapy and counseling in order to heal from the trauma they have experienced .

I do not comprehend how men went from being protectors of women to being abusers of women. However, I strongly believe that as EFFSC has took initiative to address the elephant in the room not only the UKZN management but whole country will take upon themselves to protect our sisters, mothers and aunts against gender based violence. ✊✊
I have believe that through this petition we can truly achieve to make the institution to take this issue of gender based violence serious expecially the abuse against women. .i mean we have see it happening in our very own campus and also in our residences.as the EFF students command we say enough is enough let us restrain from abuse women in our campuses but set an example of how they should be treated. .Thank you
As one of the eff members I also acknowledge the importance of this petition since gender based violence is a very sensitive and delicate issue which indeed some students face in their residences and it was quite a good move from the fighters to actually dedicate their time in finding ways of taking care of this issue at hand.
lets stand together and fight gender based violence and ensure that our fellow sisters get the help that they need to heal
Gender Based violence in the institution is not given the attention it deserves. Our girls are dying in silence. It’s time to put it to an end!!

Men and particularly young men who are the future of this country must protect the dinity of the country they'll one day lead must take responsibility and confront the ill behavious of their fathers, brothers, mates and every male member of the society to end gender based violence. This requires full societal participation.
