There has been many universities that have reported a high level of reported misconduct including Kwantlen Polytechnic University. For many of these universities, the issue of campus sexual assaults poses difficult challenges for these students. It is important for campuses to draw attention to the problem and make students feel safe.

Sexual violence and misconduct policy act has not been shared to students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University via email. Moreover, Bill 23 has not been advertised anywhere around the school. As students of KPU we believe it is important to educate the importance of this issue to the students at Kwantlen. The bill sets clear guidelines for sexual assault and misconduct at all public post-secondary institutions in B.C. Overall, our goal is to create awareness of violence against women and Bill 23 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
