The Initiative is largely dependent on funding from Dumfries & Galloway Council to maintain its services. Our Area Committee has reduced the maximum sum available for 2017/18, from the £50,000 needed, to £20,000. The grant provided for 2016/17 leaves a shortfall of £16,000; in 2017/18 the anticipated shortfall could be as much as £36,000. This threatens the future of ATI. We would urge you to support the necessary funding for community transport services by Dumfries & Galloway Council in 2017/18 by signing the petition.
