We, the undersigned, support and endorse the need for the continuation of the Disability Advice & Benefit Service (DABS) as provided by the Barrow & District Disability Association (charity registration number: 513162). In light of the many changes & reassessments done, and soon to be introduced, by the government, this organisation has provided an excellent service within the local community of Barrow -in- Furness and the surrounding areas, & it is vital it continues. We implore all people to support us in our fight to continue this much needed service.

I am currently organizing the collected testimony regarding the necessity of the Disability Advice and Benefit Service to present to the local council. We have secured a briefing with the board of directors to discuss how institutional support can be maintained moving forward.

Do not discontinue this much needed service. It's a lifeline for so many people. I would have been lost without the help of BDDA advisor.
If it wasn't for this sevice I wouldn't of known were to go when my son got his autism diagnosis he was 13 by the time we got it this sevice provides a vital roll in meeting others so our children don't feel left out in an already isolated world we need this support
This service needs to remain available to the people who need it. I see first hand the much needed help it provides as a volunteer at this charity.
Without this service and these wonderfull people who work their then barrow has not got an advice or help Centre for disabled people as cab are useless
Bdda are in invaluable source of help for those having to find their way through the welfare minefield. Closing this down will probably lead to an increase suicide and homelessness in an already underprivileged town.
this is a vital service in our community which must not be lost

Vital service. Not only provides vital help, information and support, but a place for companionship and friendship for many who may otherwise may not see or talk to another person all day.
